When adding new devices to Cozify via the Cozify app, due to certain device specific requirements it's adviced to be always connected to your home's WiFi with your phone during the process (same WiFi which your Cozify hub (ZEN / ION / HUB) is connected to).
When adding WiFi / IP devices such as Foscam or Sonos, make sure you've connected them to the same WiFi as your Cozify hub.
In general, activate the new device's pairing mode according to the device's manual, and then proceed adding/pairing the device to your Cozify hub as follows:
ZigBee / Z-Wave devices
To add new ZigBee / Z-Wave devices, you need to pair these devices with your Cozify hub. To activate pairing process, first turn on the device's pairing mode according to the device's own manual instructions, and then proceed with the following steps in Cozify:
ZigBee lights
(Philips Hue, Osram Lightify etc)
To add new ZigBee devices, you need to pair these devices with the hub. To activate pairing process, follow these steps:
Philips Hue with bridge
In case you are using Philips Hue lights and bulbs with Philips bridge, you need to allow hub to control the bridge. To add bridge, follow these steps:
Osram Lightify with gateway
In case you are using Osram Lightify lights and bulbs with Osram gateway, you have to unplug the gateway and initialize each light and bulb by turning it off and on for five times, between every 5 seconds.
After this you should have all the settings re-set to factory defaults. Now you can pair the lights and bulbs following the above instructions for adding new Zigbee lights.
