General
Is Cozify API documentation freely available?
Yes, you can access the Cozify API documentation here
Back to topHow does Cozify work?
With the Cozify hub, you can automate wireless smart devices from different manufacturers into one seamless whole. Managing devices, such as turning lights, socket controllers, and music on and off, is made extremely easy with the Cozify user interface. You can create rules to improve the whole setup, for example by setting lights to turn on automatically when you enter a room. Or with scenes you can link together more complex use cases, such as turning on lights, playing music, and turning on a fan at 7:30 in the morning.
You also have versatile scheduling and remote access at your disposal. You can also give your guests limited rights to use the devices in your home.
How has security been taken into account?
When it comes to wireless devices, security must be at a very high level. However, security also requires that the basics of your own home network are in order. The network must be encrypted (WPA2). Likewise, the user should keep their network password safe. As for the Cozify hub and cloud services, the architecture has been audited by a third party. Team members have strong experience in building secure systems. Our chief architect and lead programmer have extensive experience in designing and implementing operational management systems for government vessels. The same principles have also been followed in Cozify products regarding security.
IP camera security is implemented both when data is in transit and when it is at rest on servers. The hub encrypts the video stream coming from the camera: ffmpeg performs the encryption and the srtp protocol handles data transfer to the video service (encryption: AES_CM_128_HMAC_SHA1_80). The connection between the hub and Cozify’s cloud service is also SSL protected. The cloud service runs on Amazon AWS, which meets the requirements of the ISO 27001:2013 standard. Data at rest is also encrypted on the server side (Server-side encryption AES-256). AWS auditing is provided by a third-party SOC 1/2/3 report.
Cozify’s own operations and systems are also audited by a third party (2SN).
All questions and comments are welcome. You can send messages to suppport@cozify.fi.
Back to topHow do I delete my user account?
If you want to delete your user account, you can simply request it by sending us an email from the email address linked to your user account to support@cozify.fi. We will respond to your request with a confirmation request, and we will delete your user account and related data without delay after receiving your confirmation, however no later than one month after your confirmation.
What happens when my account is deleted?
Here is what you can and cannot do if you delete your Cozify user account (for that email address):
- You can no longer use your profile.
- You lose access to all devices and services linked to your account.
- You cannot use any purchased services. These services will end according to their validity period.
Installation / Getting Started
Is installing and setting up Cozify hubs difficult?
Installation and setup have been made extremely easy. Turn on the power, open the Cozify user interface, and follow the instructions. The next step is creating your own user account using the activation code delivered by email. Detecting devices on your home network is done at the push of a button. See here for more detailed hub installation instructions
Back to topDo I need help from an electrician?
An electrician is not needed for setting up the Cozify hub, with the exception of certain relay devices whose product information specifically mentions this. Cozify hub setup has been designed for everyone so that no special technical expertise is required.
Back to topHow do I reset and connect an Ikea Floalt panel light to the hub?
Here’s how to reset and pair the IKEA FLOALT panel light:
- Check that the light is not already paired with Cozify
- Turn the light on
- Put the hub into scanning mode for new devices (Add device)
- Turn the light off and on quickly 6 times within less than a second intervals, and leave it on at the end
- Wait for the light to blink to indicate a successful reset. If it does not blink within a few seconds, repeat the switching faster or slower until you get the light to blink when left on.
- Turn the light off once more and wait a few seconds
- Turn the light on and wait 10–15 seconds until the “Ikea of Sweden” light appears in the list of found devices
- If the light does not appear, turn it off once more, wait a moment, and turn it back on
How do I add a Nexa 433 MHz signal repeater to Cozify?
The signal repeater itself is not actually paired with the hub.
The signal repeater listens for incoming 433MHz messages and, if it recognizes a message it has been taught, it retransmits the same message as-is.
There are two different types of devices:
Devices that are controlled (e.g. a socket)
Devices from which messages are received (e.g. a motion sensor)
First, the device is paired (not the repeater itself, but the device whose signal is being amplified) with the hub normally near the hub.
After the paired device has been confirmed to work, the signal to be repeated by the repeater is taught to the signal repeater:
- Press the pairing button on the repeater and then control the socket that uses the signal repeater from the Cozify user interface by turning it on and off at a steady pace.
- For incoming-message devices (e.g. a motion sensor), press the pairing button on the repeater and then trigger movement for the sensor whose signal the repeater should forward.
Usage
Rules and scenes are mentioned in several places. What are they?
Rules combine devices into logical entities. For example, a rule can be used to make certain lights turn on when motion is detected. The color, tone, and temperature of lights are stored in the rule to make later use easier.
Home automation is controlled with scenes. One or more rules are stored under a scene. A scene can either be scheduled to activate, or it can be activated by clicking it in Cozify.
What can I do with lights?
Adjusting the color, brightness, and temperature of lights is very easy. Desired values can be stored in scenes and rules for later use. You can group lights into suitable sets. If you want, the kitchen, living room, or bedroom lights can all be placed behind a single button. After grouping, lights can be controlled as a whole. Lights are controlled through the easy-to-use Cozify user interface, scheduling, or for example based on motion.
Back to topWhat can I do with Sonos speakers?
Sonos speakers can play almost anything. The full range of Spotify and Deezer services is at your fingertips. Music, thousands of radio channels, hundreds of thousands of podcasts — the list is endless. Sonos requires a power cord, but otherwise music playback is handled over the wireless network. Note: the smartphone or tablet does not need to be near the speaker when listening to music. The Sonos speaker fetches the music directly over the network. You can schedule music playback to start at a desired time, or based on motion when you walk into a room. Sonos has its own application for iOS and Android devices.
Back to topWhat can I do with motion sensors?
A motion sensor can be used to control lights, remote-controlled sockets, and wireless speakers. Lights and devices can turn on automatically when you enter a room. And they can turn off after a delay when nobody is in the room. You can define the delay yourself. You can receive a notification on your phone if the motion sensor detects movement at home when nobody should be there. Or at night, lights can turn on dimmed when you go get a midnight snack. Many motion sensors also include temperature, brightness, or humidity sensors.
Back to topWhat can I do with a smart plug or socket controller?
A smart plug allows you to make ordinary household electrical devices smarter. Fans, coffee makers, Christmas lights, a child’s night light, traditional radios, grow lights for chili plants, and even controlling an iron can all be done directly from a smartphone.
In the Cozify user interface, you can also set a usage time after which the device turns off automatically. This is a handy feature for devices such as an iron or coffee maker, which should not be left on for too long.
Is remote access supported?
Yes, through Cozify you can check which home devices are on and turn them off if you wish. Or enable a vacation scene from the airport. In practice, you can use home devices and lights from almost anywhere, as long as an internet connection is available.
Back to topHow can I add access rights for family members?
Step 1: New user – request access rights
- To get access rights, the family member must be invited to register as a Cozify user through the Cozify user interface.
- The user must be on the same WiFi network as the hub.
- The new user logs in to Cozify and requests access rights by selecting the hub from the selection list (the hub appears in the list if the user is logged in to the same WiFi network).
- When the hub owner has granted the user access rights, the user can use that hub.
Step 2: Owner – grant access rights
When a new user has requested access rights to the hub
- Select MAIN MENU - Hub Settings
- At the bottom of the page, the list of users shows the user requesting access rights
- Give the user the desired rights (Owner, User, or Guest) (Read more about rights)
- It takes a moment (about 30 seconds) for the hub user rights to update. After that, the new user will see the updated rights in the hub selection list, and can then enter the hub by selecting it from the list.
Can I limit users’ rights?
User rights can be limited through user roles. The different roles are:
- Owner
- Main user
- User
- Remote guest
- Guest
The rights of the different user roles can be found in the table below:

Can I receive notifications when something happens at home?
Yes. You manage sending notifications through the Cozify user interface. You can create a rule that sends a message when movement is detected at home. Or, if you wish, you can receive a message when your child gets home from school. In practice, a message can be set to be sent for almost anything that happens at home — whether it is lights, music playing at two in the morning, or if a device has been on for longer than a certain time.
Back to topDoes Cozify work during a power outage?
All electrical devices require electricity to function. For power outages, you can prepare with a UPS device (battery): See examples
Cozify otherwise works independently without an internet connection, but internet-dependent remote messages/remote control will not work, and possible video clips will not be saved to the Cozify cloud service.
Back to topWhat kind of lights can I dim with wall switches?
TERMS:
Light/lamp = general term for a lamp / light source
Bulb = physical lamp / light
OPERATING PRINCIPLE OF A TRADITIONALLY DIMMABLE LIGHT:
The function and brightness level of a traditionally MAINS-DIMMABLE LIGHT are based on the amount of electrical current delivered to it, which is controlled by a separate dimmer that adjusts the amount of power sent to the light.
- Such a dimmer can be either a smart relay installed in a wall switch, or another dimmer component that adjusts the amount of electricity delivered to the light, which then determines the brightness level of the bulb (dimming by electrical current)
- Good to know: Bulbs whose electrical supply is not regulated by a SEPARATE DIMMER in between (dimmer switch or smart switch dimmer relay) always receive full electrical current from the wall switch / socket whenever the switch or socket is on, to which the bulb/light is connected.
THESE ARE SUITABLE AS LIGHTS THAT CAN BE DIMMED WITH A TRADITIONAL DIMMER:
Only lights that are MAINS-DIMMABLE bulbs (“Dimmable lamp” marking on the bulb) are suitable for use with a traditional switch-dimmer.
- Good to know: Smart lights that are “smartly dimmable” have the dimming feature built into the bulb itself, and they work technically differently from bulbs dimmed in the traditional way (by controlling the amount of electric current). Smart lights are therefore NOT MAINS-DIMMABLE, but instead require full electrical current at all times in order to function and dim properly (that is, to control a smart light, the wall switch supplying power must always be on / in the ON position (100%) so that the light can be controlled intelligently).
THESE ARE NOT SUITABLE AS LIGHTS THAT CAN BE DIMMED WITH A TRADITIONAL DIMMER:
1) Smart lights (e.g. Philips Hue, Airam LED Wireless, Ikea Trådfri smart lights)
- If you connect a smart light to a socket receiving power through a separate dimmer, the light may flicker / turn off / break, and it will not dim according to the dimmer when the dimmer is not at 100% power (= normal electrical current)
2) Normal (“non-dimmable”) lights
- If you connect a normal (non-dimmable) bulb to a socket receiving power through a dimmer, the light may flicker / turn off / break (similarly to a smart bulb), and it will not dim according to the dimmer when the dimmer is not at 100% power (= normal electrical current)
Back to topTroubleshooting
Cozify hub is not working?
Try restarting the hub and make sure that the hub’s blue LED light goes through the following stages:
1. Blue light stays on steadily
2. Blue light blinks rapidly
3. Blue light blinks slowly
4. Blue light stays on steadily
If it reaches step 4, the Cozify hub is ready, working, and connected to the cloud.
If the light does not start blinking, the Cozify hub cannot connect to the cloud for some reason and is most likely broken. In that case, the device should be sent under warranty if warranty coverage still remains.
Back to topHow do I reset Osram Lightify bulbs?
Osram Lightify bulbs are reset by turning the bulb on for five seconds and then keeping it off for five seconds. This is repeated five times in total. When the reset is complete, the bulb will briefly turn off by itself once more. After this, the bulb will automatically appear in the add devices view.
Back to topHow do I reset Belkin Wemo bulbs?
Wemo bulbs are reset by first turning the bulb on. Then the bulb is turned off for one second and on for 3–4 seconds. This is repeated five times in total, after which you wait. After about five seconds, the bulb will blink briefly and the reset is complete. After this, the bulb will automatically appear in the add devices view.
Back to topWhy does a rule disappear from a scene and become deactivated?
This usually happens because the scene has been set to turn on and off too quickly. This triggers a protection mechanism that drops the rule from the scene (i.e. “always active”) and at the same time deactivates the rule, meaning it is no longer on. This protection mechanism prevents situations where rules create an endless loop, meaning the scene keeps switching on and off continuously. This was implemented when the home/away scenes got the feature that only one of them can be active at a time. So if the home scene is turned on, away turns off automatically, and vice versa. Because of this built-in “rule,” creating such an endless loop by accident was easy and would cause the HUB to overload.
Back to topI am not receiving text message notifications?
SMS messages are part of the paid Cozify Premium service. In the free version, notifications can be sent as email notifications.
If no phone number has been defined for the recipient’s phone, text messages cannot be sent. Fill in/check the phone number under MAIN MENU -> MY SETTINGS -> Phone number.
If the rule suggestion itself does not include sending a text message, create a new rule for text messaging, e.g. “Send message when door opens.” In the rule, enable the option “Send message as SMS to the mobile device user’s phone number.”
The maximum number of text messages per Cozify hub is 25 per day.
If the device uses Android, the problem may be solved by going to:
Settings > (Battery) > Battery optimization > Cozify (from the app list) > Select “Don’t optimize”
This should prevent the device’s battery optimization from blocking Cozify messages.
Back to topA Proove humidity or temperature sensor shows an incorrect reading
If you have more than one Proove temperature or humidity sensor in use, make sure they use different radio channels for transmitting data. The selected channel (1–8) is shown circled on the meter display. So each device should have a different number circled. The channel can be changed using the switches under the battery cover. The same switches are also used to set the unit of measurement, i.e. Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Back to topMy phone always appears to be in remote mode even when I am at home

Back to topCase opened warning?
Some Zigbee sensors can report whether their casing is open or not. For example, replacing batteries means opening the casing. Opening the casing is also reported in the user interface with the warning “Device tampered” / “Device casing opened.” The warning disappears automatically from the sensor once the casing is closed again. On some sensors, it may take some time for the warning to disappear (for example, half an hour). Some Centralite sensors, however, continue to report the warning apparently indefinitely. The sensor does not seem to detect that the casing has been closed.
Possible fixes are:
- make sure the battery cover is properly closed
- reset the sensor
Back to topI can't pair a supported device with Cozify?
Devices are guided through pairing during Cozify’s initial setup. Later, devices are added from the DEVICES view by adding new devices from the (+) icon in the upper right corner of the view. If the device has been paired before, it usually needs to be reset first before it appears in the list of devices to be added.
If pairing does not succeed according to Cozify’s instructions, try the following:
433Mhz devices (e.g. Nexa / Proove)
- Bring the device to be paired close to the hub and start the device adding process from the Cozify user interface in the DEVICES section.
- If the device is not found while the hub is scanning, reset the device according to the manufacturer’s instructions, remove the battery briefly, and try again.
Proove power plug
Try pairing the device a few meters away from the hub. If pairing does not succeed, try resetting the device to factory settings and then pair it again. Resetting is done as follows:
- Press the socket button for 5 seconds; the light starts blinking
- Press the button once again; the socket clicks a few times
- Try pairing the device with Cozify again
If you have multiple Proove sockets, they should not be placed closer than one meter to each other.
DEVELCO water sensor
- Reset the water sensor just in case (open the water sensor lid by turning it counterclockwise and press the recessed reset button until the LED light blinks repeatedly)
+ Put the plastic plate back and turn the top part clockwise to close the sensor. - Go to add the water leak sensor by selecting the (+) icon in the top right corner of the DEVICES view. The device will appear after a moment in the “Found devices” list in the add devices view (may take about 5s–60s)
- Select the device from the “Found devices” list. In the opened device information view, name the device and select a room for it (required), then return to the add devices view using the arrow icon in the upper left corner.
- Exit the pairing view by selecting “Done” at the bottom of the page
OSRAM LIGHTIFY power plug
Try pairing the device a few meters away from the hub. If pairing does not succeed, try resetting the device to factory settings and then pair it again. Resetting is done as follows:
- Unplug the plug from the wall.
- Hold down the plug button and plug it back into the wall while keeping the button pressed
- Release the button when the plug makes a clicking sound
OSRAM LIGHTIFY lights
If you cannot connect an Osram Lightify light to Cozify, you can try resetting the bulb:
- Osram Lightify bulbs are reset by turning the bulb on for five seconds and then keeping it off for five seconds.
- This is repeated five times in total. When the reset is complete, the bulb turns off briefly once.
PHILIPS HUE lights
- In Cozify, turn on hub scanning from the Devices view by clicking the (+) symbol
- Turn power on to the Hue bulb
- Wait patiently for at least half a minute until the bulb appears in the list view. (In some cases Philips bulbs respond slowly to initialization requests.)
Pairing succeeds most reliably if the bulb is right next to the hub during pairing.
If this does not work, a factory reset using the Hue Dimmer Switch remote control is enough to make the bulb pairable again:
- Bring the Philips Dimmer Switch as close as possible to the bulb being reset and press the I and O buttons at the same time.
- Hold the buttons down for more than 10 seconds until the light blinks more than once.
- After this the bulb has been reset to factory settings and pairing with Cozify can begin
PHILIPS HUE MOTION sensor
Reset the device:- Press the small button on the back of the device for 10 seconds
- Wait until a blinking orange light appears on the device LED - then the device is ready to be installed again
- Add the device in Cozify’s DEVICES section in the ADD NEW DEVICE view (+ icon in the top right corner)
- Wait a moment, and the device should appear in the Found devices list at the bottom of the view, where you select the device and press DONE
FOSCAM cameras
- Connect the camera to power using the included power supply and reset the camera by pressing the camera reset button (about 30 sec). (On Foscam C2 until you hear the voice “reset succeeded”).
- Connect the camera to your WiFi router with an Ethernet cable.
- Go to add the camera in Cozify by selecting the (+) icon in the top right corner of the DEVICES view. The device will appear after a moment in the “Found devices” list in the add devices view (may take about 5–60 sec).
- Select the device from the “Found devices” list using the (+) icon.
- Follow the on-screen instructions carefully. Cozify automatically creates a secure username-password pair for the camera.
- If you want to use the camera on your home WiFi network, select the network from the list and enter your WiFi password, then follow the on-screen instructions. If you instead want to use the camera with a wired connection, you can leave the Ethernet cable connected to the camera or reconnect it later.
- In the opened device information view, name the device and select a room for it (required), then return to the add devices view using the arrow icon in the upper left corner.
- Exit the pairing view by selecting “Done” at the bottom of the page.
FOSCAM C2 (in case of WiFi connection problems)
(If the camera otherwise installs normally, but the WiFi connection is not established successfully at any stage).
- Connect the camera with an Ethernet cable to your WiFi router.
- Download and install on your computer from Foscam’s website www.foscam.com under Support -> Download center -> Software Tools: Equipment Search Tool (Mac / Windows), and Plugins: Plugin for HD Cameras (Mac / Windows)
- Start Equipment Search Tool and select the camera from the list by double-clicking it
- This opens a webpage in your browser (If your default browser is Chrome, copy the opened URL from the address bar and open the same address in Firefox or Safari)
- Allow the page to use the suggested plugin, and log in with factory credentials (in reset cases) / credentials you have defined yourself. Username (default): admin Password (default): (leave blank)
- The page will ask you to define a new username and password
- Log in with the new credentials
- From the sidebar, select Network -> Wireless Settings -> Press “Scan” and select your home WiFi network from the list, then join the WiFi network by entering your network password
- Your camera should now work on your WiFi network and be addable to Cozify. After adding it, you can close the Foscam browser management view.
FOSCAM Camera pairing error message: “Connection failed” / “Connecting failed” (errNo:111)
If when adding a Foscam camera the device list says “Connection failed” or “Connecting failed” and error number 111, then the camera is internally stuck and you can try the following process:
- Remove the camera from the Cozify user interface from the device settings, then disconnect all cables from the camera and wait a moment
- Connect the power cable to the camera and press the reset button until the camera says “Reset succeeded”
- Connect the camera with an Ethernet cable to your WiFi router
- Use the Foscam app and scan the QR code, and the Foscam app will start waiting. Hopefully things proceed from there; if not, then it is a more difficult case (you can try other pairing methods the Foscam app offers).
- Install the camera and define the username and password with the Foscam app
- After this, open Cozify and go to device adding
- The camera should appear in the scan list, so select it
- Enter the username and password you just defined
- Assign a room and go back from the upper left corner to the scan list, and there should be a green check mark next to the camera
- Press the “Done” button at the bottom of the page
- The camera will appear on the “Devices” main page in the room you assigned. When selecting the camera, the image should be visible.
- In the camera settings (gear icon in the upper right corner) you can configure WiFi for the camera and then move the camera to the desired location.
Note that without the camera service you can use (pair) only one camera with the hub. So when re-pairing, the old camera must be removed from Cozify.
We are also in contact with the camera manufacturer to fix this error situation.
Back to topDevice support
Which mobile devices are supported for hub use?
Due to new requirements in the app stores, the Cozify Android and iOS application is being renewed and is currently not downloadable on new phones. Cozify hub user interfaces can be used with a browser-based WEB UI on any modern web browser on a phone or desktop computer. More information about the WEB UI There is a separate Android and iOS app called “Cozify HAN” for the Cozify HAN device.
Back to topWhich devices and radios does Cozify support?
List of currently supported devices and radios
Back to topDo I need the device manufacturer’s gateway, bridge, or hub?
No, you do not. The hub communicates directly with devices. For example, the Philips Hue Bridge or Osram Lightify Gateway become unnecessary.
Back to topCozify ION (and different hardware versions)
Is it possible to transfer HUB settings (rules, scenes, device connections) to Cozify ION?
Short answer: Because hardware versions 1 and 2 differ from each other, a fully automated transfer from HUB to ION cannot unfortunately be done. We are investigating the possibility of offering a semi-automatic tool for the transfer, but one is not currently available.
Long answer: The network configurations contained in the radio modules cannot be transferred from one device version to another, and this prevents a fully automatic transfer. A semi-automatic transfer from a backup is theoretically possible. Devices would need to be paired again so that they would automatically find their place in scenes and rules as well.
A semi-automatic transfer is already practically possible when the transfer is from HUB to HUB or ION to ION, and we are also investigating this possibility for HUB to ION. As stated, however, we cannot promise this.
We are also working together with radio module suppliers so that ION and newer devices would support automatic transfer also regarding network configuration.
Back to topWill HUB support end at some point, forcing me to switch to ION?
Support for HUB (HUB v1.1) continues normally alongside ION: Cozify HUB households and users will continue to receive updates and the same user experience software updates as ION, within the limits of the radio technologies supported by HUB. In other words, switching to newer hardware is not “mandatory” if the new features brought by the newer hardware are not relevant to you.
Back to topIf only these worked at least like the Philips HUE bridge and Cozify HUB. What is paired to one would appear in the other with its rules, scenes, and devices. Then the user would have it easy.
In theory this is possible, but the feature is not currently implemented in the consumer product ION. We are looking into this functionality for the future — thanks for the development idea!
Back to topDoes ION connect to the router via WiFi or does it require a cable in between?
Connections to ION, like the previous HUB, require the Ethernet cable included with the device to be connected to the WiFi router directly or through the internal network.
Back to topDoes Somfy RTS work with ION?
ION has support for Somfy RTS 433Mhz, meaning Somfy smart curtains can be connected to ION. The previous HUB does not support Somfy curtain systems (although the previous HUB does support the Ubisys J1 curtain controller).
Back to topHow do I know which hub version I have?
There are products on the market based on two different hardware designs: Cozify’s first product HW 1.x and HW 2.x introduced a couple of years ago. Different products with different features and use cases have been released on top of these hardware designs. You can check the version from the serial number label on the bottom of the hub under “MODEL:”
Cozify HUB (HW 1.0, 1.1)
- Consumer version of the hub, no longer manufactured, but support continues
- MODEL: HUB 1.1 or MODEL: HUB 1.0
Cozify ION (HW 2.x),
- New consumer version of the hub
- MODEL: Cozify ION
Cozify ZEN (HW 2.x)
- Professional version of the hub
- MODEL: Cozify ZEN
Cozify DIN (HW 2.x)
- DIN rail-mounted professional version of the hub
- MODEL: Cozify DIN
What differences does ION have compared to HUB?
HUB hardware is no longer manufactured and all our new products are based on new hardware. ION’s advantages over HUB lie in the new hardware. More powerful hardware enables larger setups, and newer radio models enable, among other things, longer range while also supporting the latest versions of radio protocols. Support for HUB continues and, for example, there is no “forced upgrade” ahead for HUB customers.
The significance of the differences grows gradually. For some new devices and features, device support can only be implemented for the ION version.
Some slightly more detailed examples:
1: Somfy RTS
Support for Somfy curtain control is available on ION, but not on HUB. Somfy curtains are very widely used by different curtain suppliers, so compatibility greatly facilitates the adoption of ready-made curtain packages. On the other hand, curtain motor controllers are also available for HUB – for example the Zigbee radio-based Ubisys J1.
2: Z-Wave
In ION’s case, the 868 frequency band is reserved (instead of point 1) for the new Z-Wave radio. The latest radio module enables full use of the Z-Wave PLUS standard (longer range, better security, smoother pairing and usage, possibility for OTA updates for devices).
Z-Wave standards are backward compatible, so in principle old devices work with the new hub and new devices with the old hub.
3: Zigbee
The Zigbee radio is also a newer version and fully supports the Zigbee 3.0 standard in addition to the older HA 1.2 standard. In practice, many devices support both, so backward compatibility still exists similarly to the Z-Wave case.
4: User interface
Application-level software changes are generally intended to be released similarly for all consumer hubs (ION and HUB), as far as the hardware allows. As new standards gain market share and as device support and features enabled by the new hardware increase, differences will gradually increase. At the moment, they are still moderate in number.
5: Reliability
ION adds more reliability to Cozify smart home functionality, for example through a hardware-level “watchdog,” which helps recover automatically from fault situations (e.g. unexpected power spikes). Situations where the device would need to be reset by visiting the site, for example after a thunderstorm, will become even less common.

What happens if I cancel the monthly subscription of the LähiTapiola Smart Home Package?
You can continue using the devices at home as before. Remote access and various alarms will be disabled and cannot be used. If you have had a camera service in use, you cannot save camera footage or view the picture remotely. If you have acquired several cameras for your home, after the camera service is disabled you can connect only one camera to the Cozify HUB.
The Smart Home Package service fee is paid as long as the equipment is intended to be used normally with all features.
